Cherry is a fruit that grows on a tree or a bush. It belongs to the genus Prunus. It is usually red, with a seed in the middle. It tastes slightly sour, and is often used to flavour cakes and ice cream, or is baked in a pie or cobbler. Cherries are also a good source of Vitamin B.

樱桃是一种长在树上或灌木上的水果。它属于李属。它通常是红色的，中间有一粒种子。它尝起来有点酸，经常被用来给蛋糕和冰淇淋调味，或者被放在派或馅饼里。樱桃也是维生素B的良好来源。

We call it "樱花” in Chinese.

Cherry blossom life cycle
These beautiful white or pink flowers only bloom for a short period and are the national flower of Japan. They remind us of the beauty and fragility脆弱 of life.

Cherry Blossom Life Cycle:
Stage 1: I can see buds.
Stage 2: I can see florets.
Stage 3: The buds are swelling.
Stage 4: The stalks are getting longer.
Stage 5: The flowers are blooming.
Stage 6: The petals are falling.

M: When the flower fades, we can see fruits. 

Sweet cherry tree pollination is done primarily through honeybees. 
If you have a sour cherry tree or pie cherry, you’re in luck. These trees are self-pollinating.
The flowers are still pollinated by honeybees, but they can produce fruit just from the pollen on the tree.

甜樱桃树的授粉主要是通过蜜蜂来完成的。如果你有酸樱桃树或馅饼樱桃，你是幸运的。这些树是自花传粉的。这些花仍然是由蜜蜂授粉的，但它们可以从树上的花粉中直接产生果实。

Let's go to have a taste, if the fruit is sour. That means that cherry tree is a sour cherry tree, it can be self-pollinating.

Self-pollination is an important aspect of plant reproduction. Instead of relying on bees or wind, some plants pollinate by themselves. When a plant self-pollinates, pollen from the plant comes to the stigma柱头 of the plant by itself.

自花授粉是植物繁殖的一个重要方面。有些植物靠自己授粉，而不是依靠蜜蜂或风。当一个自花授粉植物授粉时，花粉会自己走到植物的柱头。

I think the cherry trees near our home are self-pollination. Because I did't see many bees when it was blossoming.

M: Actually there are three cherry trees. The tree in the middle has no more cherries on it.

E: Why?

M: Because many people picked it all.

E: Why?

M: Because the cherries are sweet in that tree.

So we only can pick the sour cherries from the tree next to it.

M: I don't know how to make a cherry cake.

Can you help me?

E: I can teach you how to make a cherry cake.

First put a cake on the table.

Then you put a cherry on it.

Then you eat it.

M: Excellent.

📚樱桃有点酸，不太好吃。但是自己摘得总是吃的很香甜！摘一个，吐一个，吐了一地核😀！
