Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.</p><p>一个星期天的早晨，暖暖的太阳升起来了——啪！——从卵壳里钻出一条又小又饿的毛毛虫。</p> <p>He started to look for some food.</p><p>他开始四处寻找食物。</p> <p>On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.</p><p>星期一，他吃了一个苹果，但是，他还是很饿。</p> <p>On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.</p><p>星期二，他吃了两个梨，但是他还是很饿。</p> <p>On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.</p><p>星期三，他吃了三个李子，但是他还是感到非常饿。</p> <p>On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.</p><p>星期四，他吃了四个草莓，但是他还是非常饿。</p> <p>On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.</p><p>星期五，他整整吃了五个橘子，但是他仍然很饿。</p> <p>On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon.</p><p>星期六，他吃了好多好多……蛋糕，冰淇淋，黄瓜，瑞士奶酪，香肠，棒棒糖，馅饼，热狗，纸杯蛋糕，还有西瓜！</p> <p>That night he had a stomach-ache!</p><p>那天晚上，他开始肚子疼了。</p> <p>The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.</p><p>第二天，又是一个星期天。毛毛虫吃了一片新鲜的树叶，之后他便感觉好多了。</p> <p>Now he wasn’t hungry anymore -- and he wasn’t a little caterpillar anymore. He was a big, fat caterpillar.</p><p>现在，他再也感觉不到饿了——他已经不再一条小小的毛毛虫了，他长成了一只肥嘟嘟的大毛毛虫。</p> <p>He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out….</p><p>他绕着自己的身子，建了一个叫“茧”的小房子。他在里面整整待了两周。然后他在茧上一点一点地啃了一个小洞，钻了出来…..</p> <p>He became a beautiful butterfly!</p><p>他现在是一只漂亮的蝴蝶啦！</p>
