Hot air balloon parts

A hot-air balloon is a large balloon with a basket underneath in which people can travel. The balloon is filled with hot air in order to make it float in the air.

Hot air weighs less than cold air, which means hot air will rise up or float when there is cold air around. It is just like a bubble of air in Pot of water. The greater the difference between hot air and cold air, the stronger the hot air balloon will pull up. It means the balloon can carry more weight on a cold day. Or if the air inside the balloon is vquilt hot.

In China they used hot air to make objects fly and the first use of the knowledge is used to send lanterns to the sky. The hot air balloon is the oldest form of flying technology that successfully carried people. The first hot air balloon was invented by french Montgolfier brothers. On 19 sept 1783, they demonstrated their invention for kind Louise XVI in the French court in Paris.

Two year later, a French and an American balloonists became the first to fly across French Channel. In these days. Crossing the French Channel was the first step to long distance ballooning.

The biggest challenge of crossing Pacific Ocean was achieved in 1981. The hot balloon was launched from Japan and landed 48 hours later in California. The pilot set a new distance record at 5679 miles.

Origami Pigeon

Step 1: Start with a square piece of origami paper. We only have rectangle paper, so we need to make a square sheet.

(1️⃣Fold one corner of the paper to meet the opposite edge. This brings the short side of the paper over to one of the long sides. Line up these two edges and crease the fold. Now have a right triangle made from the folded sheet, plus an extra rectangle of single-sheet paper.

2️⃣Cut off the extra paper. Cut along the edge of the triangle to separate it from the extra paper.Due to we do not have scissors, we need to fold the small rectangle over the triangle and crease well. Unfold the paper. Press down hard on the small rectangle with one hand, and on the rest of the paper with the other. Slowly move my hands apart to tear along the crease.)

Step 2: Fold the paper in half by folding the top corner to the bottom corner along the crease line. We have an upside down triangle now.

Step 3: Fold part of the top down so that the edge is about halfway down. Don't make this flap too thin because this will become the wings.

Step 4: Turn the paper over.

Step 5: Take the bottom corner of the top layer and fold it up like this.

Step 6: Fold the figure in half by folding the left side over to the right.

Step 7: Now fold that same flap back like this to make one of the wings.

Step 8: Fold the other wing back also.

Step 9: Push the center of the head in and flatten. This is called an inside reverse fold.

Step 10: And tada! You have yourself a pigeon. Now set it free! Just kidding. Don't throw it in the air. It will just fall down and you'll be disappointed.
