A farm is a piece of land used to grow plants and/or raise animals for food. People who grow these plants or raise these animals are called farmers.This type of work is called farming.

Farming is an important work,because everyone needs food and clothing to survive.

Farms produce all kinds of plants, animals,wool and cotton that people eat and use throughout the world.

Long years before,lots of family lived on a small farm.They raised almost everything they ate and sold their remaining crops and/or animals.

Farmers work long,hard hours.

but now The use of tractors and other modern farm equipment has sharply reduced the need for farm workers.

Today's farmer is not just an expert in agriculture and livestock(畜牧业）,but they also need to be successful businessmen. Today we try together to build a modern farm。

Types of Farm Animals

Different farm animals serve different purposes.

They can be segregated into dairy animals,poultry(家禽）animals, meat producing animals,and animals used for transportation.

poultry：You can refer to chickens, ducks, and other birds that are kept for their eggs and meat as

Dairy animals include cow,buffalo,goat,etc.

They can be found in almost all parts of the world. Poultry animals are the chicken,turkey, ducks,etc.Poultry animals are always high in demand because of their tasty meat products which are also known for their various health benefits.

Some farm animals like horse,donkey,yak,llama are used for transportation.

Apart from this,farm animals like dogs and cats make a great companion.

Dog is best known for being faithful,loving and sincere towards their master.

They can be trained easily and trusted.

There are many other animals also which are included in the farm animal list

Silkworm Life Cycle

The life cycle of a silkworm, from a microscopic egg to a beautiful moth is simply mind-blowing. Let's explore the different stages of life of a silkworm.

Egg is the first stage of a silkworm's life cycle. The female moth lays an egg about the size of an ink dot.Max squeezed a few drops of food coloring on the leaves to pretend the eggs.

Summer and the early fall are the proper times for the moth to lay eggs.

The eggs remain in dormant stage until spring arrives. The warmth of the spring stimulates the egg to hatch.

The silkworm, upon hatching, is about 1/8th of an inch and extremely hairy. Young silkworms can only feed on tender mulberry leaves. However, during the growth phase they can eat tougher mulberry leaves as well.

The larval stage lasts for about 27 days and the silkworm goes through five growth stages called instars,

We cut the big mashmallows into small pieces and string them together with a toothpick.

Making the cocoon was just easy and simple. We used wrapped cotton thread wind the caterpillars.A few days later,the moths will creep out of the small opening at the end of the cocoon before the cocoons are harvested.

Cocoon is the stage in which the larva spins silk threads around it, to protect itself from its predators. The larva traps itself inside the cocoon in order to pupate.

The color of the cocoon varies, depending upon what the silkworm eats. It can range from white to golden yellow. The second molting occurs inside the cocoon, when the larva turns into a brown pupa. It takes about 2 - 3 weeks for the pupa to metamorphose into an adult moth.

Once the adult moth comes out of its cocoon, its only purpose is to find a member of the opposite sex, and mate. Males are larger than females and more active. We talked about the entire life cycle of an silk worm and how they are different from other moths and even butterflies.

Silk is a natural protein fiber, produced by the larvae of certain specific insects, like caterpillars of moth. Other insects also produce silk.The best type of silk comes from the mulberry silkworm,which is obtained by domestication.

When talking about the way light reacts to objects, you first need to group all objects into one of three categories /ˈkætɪɡərɪ/ : transparent, translucent, and opaque.

Transparent objects are those that allow light to pass through.

They most commonly transmit light.

Sometimes, the light can be refracted as it shines through the transparent object.

Usually when you think of transparent objects, you assume that they are clear, yet this is not always the case.

Examples of transparent objects include glass, certain plastics, and diamonds and other gem stones.

Find an object you think is transparent. Shine a flashlight at the object.

Does the light go through the object? If so, the object is transparent.

Translucent objects both transmit and reflect light. The light that does shine through translucent objects is scattered.

When the light is scattered, it appears to only partially shine through the object and will not allow you to see objects on the other side clearly. Examples of translucent objects include tinted s, frosted glass, and your finger! Find an object that you think is translucent. Shine a flashlight at the object. Does the light only partially shine through the object? If so, the object is translucent.

Opaque objects either reflect light or absorb light. Opaque objects do not allow any light to shine through. Examples of opaque objects include brick, wood, steel, and bone.

Find an object that you think is opaque. Shine a flashlight at the object. Does the object allow any light to shine through? If not, the object is opaque.

Now, grab a piece of paper and either fold both sides vertically toward the center, or draw two, evenly-spaced lines down the center to create three equal columns. Label the first column "Transparent," the middle column "Translucent," and the last column "Opaque."
