　　《未选择的路》是美国诗人罗伯特·弗罗斯特创作的文学作品。罗伯特·弗罗斯特(1874一1963)是在马萨诸塞州劳伦斯上的中学，也在达特第斯学院和哈佛大学读过一段时间。获得诗名之前，弗罗斯特时而务农，时而到中学教希腊语和拉丁语。他的第一部诗集出版于1913年。1916年后，他一直在著名学府任职，通常的身份是“住校诗人”。弗罗斯特的诗歌备受喜爱，原因之一是未受过多少学校教育的人都看得懂。当许多诗人热衷于搞诗歌试验时，他却坚持使用日常语言，描写自己观察入微的日常事件。弗罗斯特的许多诗歌反映了他与大自然的贴近。他通过自然来表达一种象征意义，而不是什么田园式的思乡情调。《未选择的路》是弗罗斯特的一首名诗，作于1915年。这首深邃的哲理诗展现了现实生话中人们处在十字路口时难以抉择的心情。

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

黄色的林子里有两条路，

And sorry I could not travel both

很遗憾我无法同时选择两者

And be one traveler, long I stood

身在旅途的我久久站立

And looked down one as far as I could

对着其中一条极目眺望

To where it bent in the undergrowth.

直到它蜿蜒拐进远处的树丛。

Then took the other, as just as fair，

我选择了另外的一条，天经地义，

And having perhaps the better claim,

也许更为诱人

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

因为它充满荆棘，需要开拓；

Though as for that the passing there

然而这样的路过

Had worn them really about the same.

并未引起太大的改变。

And both that morning equally lay

那天清晨这两条小路一起静卧在

In leaves no step had trodden black.

无人踩过的树叶丛中

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

哦，我把另一条路留给了明天！

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

明知路连着路，

I doubted if I should ever come back.

我不知是否该回头。

I shall be telling this with a sigh

我将轻轻叹息，叙述这一切

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

许多许多年以后：

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

林子里有两条路，我——

I took the one less traveled by,

选择了行人稀少的那一条

And that has made all the difference.

它改变了我的一生。

Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create. 

与其担忧你无法控制的事，不如把精力花在你能创造的事上。
