6·17 Ai-Yakang World Bird Lovers Festival 6·17 Ai-Yakang World Bird Lovers Festival A sky without the bird, a narrower world.
Nature breeds birds in thousands of postures.
Bird resources are precious natural treasures on earth.
The harmony between man and nature can not be realized without birds soaring freely and happiness in human society becomes possible when accompanied by birds singing in joy.
In recent years, due to human’s disorderly development of natural resources and excessive consumption of ecological environment, the living environment and conditions of birds continue to deteriorate, The process of human industrialization has also contributed to the continuous reduction and fragmentation of many bird habitats, resulting in many birds facing the crisis of rapid population decline. There are currently about 11,000 species of wild birds in the world, among which, 139 known have been extinct, and 683 are endangered. As the climate and the environment change, conservative estimates suggest that at least 1,400 species of birds will disappear by 2100. Protecting the biodiversity of birds has to be done now. I am Ai-Yakang, a bird lover of the Yi ethnic group from Daliangshan, Sichuan, China.
I am a son of the earth, our mother and I shoulder the responsibility to act now.
I am determined to walk around the world in 10 years to see the living conditions of birds through my camera and arouse people's attention to protecting wild birds. On June 17, 2019, with the support of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, I launched the 6.17 Ayakang World Bird Lovers Festival. At the launch ceremony in Wuhan, China, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern and Hungarian Prime Minister Megyessy Peter and other dignitaries from nine countries participated and witnessed this historic moment. The establishment of the World Bird Lovers Festival is to show our gratitude for the various blessing that bird brings to our humans. It maintains the ecological balance by curbing the spread of pests. It is a healer of nature and a mover at the same time. Birds are spreading undigested seeds when in migration, helping to green the world. Birds and humans are friends of symbiosis on earth. I hereby call on world leaders, business elites, people of insight and I to act together for the blue sky and white clouds, clear waters and green mountains, joyful singing, and flutter by birds on the earth. 6·17 Ai-Yakang World Bird Lovers Festival We share the same destiny with birds under the same blue sky. The earth becomes a better place when a man loves birds.
