A little boy planted a carrot seed.

一个小男孩种下了一粒胡萝卜种子。

His mother said," I'm afraid it won't

come up. "

妈妈说：“恐怕不会发芽。”

His father said, " I'm afraid it won't

come up. "

爸爸说“恐怕不会发芽。”

And his big brother said, " It won't

come up. "

他哥哥也说“这颗种子不会发芽的。”

Every day, the little boy pulled up

the weeds around seed,

and sprinkled the ground with

water.

每天，小男孩都会为种子拔杂草，还会给它浇水。

But nothing came up.

但是，种子没有发芽。

And nothing came up.

还是没有发芽。

Everyone kept saying it wouldn't

come up.

每个人都说种子不会发芽的。

But he still pulled up the weeds

around

it, and sprinkled theground with

water.

但是小男孩还是每天给小种子拔杂草和浇水。

And then one day,

然后，有一天，

a carrot came out,

一颗胡萝卜苗长了出来，

just as a little boy hadknown it

word.

正如小男孩一开始就知道的那样。
