The best time of all

I ask my friends, “When is your best time of year?”

我问我的朋友们“你们一年中最快乐的时光是什么？”

“January ,”says Kim. “I love the new year fireworks, bright in the sky.”

Kim说“一月最快乐，我喜欢新年的烟花，点亮了天空。”

“March and April and May because I love spring and the chocolate bunnies at Easter !”says Peter.

Peter说“我最喜欢三月，四月和五月。因为我喜欢春天，还有复活节的巧克力兔子。”

“I love June and July and August because I love sunshine and holidays ,”says Bo.

Bo说“我喜欢六月，七月和八月，因为我喜欢阳光和假期！”

Tom is American. He likes November best because he enjoys Thanksgiving food.

Tom 是美国人，他最欢十一月，因为他喜欢感恩节的美食大餐。

“But what do you think,Ben ? When is your best time of year?” asksTom. I say “I like December best.”

Tom问我“你呢？你最欢哪个月？”我说“十二月。”

“Why ?December is cold and dark ,”says Bo. “But it has Christmas!”says Peter.

Bo却说“为什么呢？十二月又冷又暗。”

Peter说“但是有圣诞节啊！”

“At Christmas we are on holiday and there are lights in trees and there is lots of food,”I say. “And ...”

我说“圣诞节我们可以放假，圣诞树上挂满了彩灯，还有很多很多好吃的。还有……”

“And what?” asks Kim. “Surprises!” I say. “Come to my Christmas party and you’ll get a surprise.”

“还有什么？”Kim问。“还有惊喜！来参加我的圣诞派对吧，每人都有惊喜哦！”我回答。

“When is the party?” asks Bo. give them invitation cards.

Bo问“派对在什么时候？”我迅速给了大家邀请卡。

I decorate a Christmas tree with chocolate decorations. Everything is ready.

我用许多巧克力饰品装饰了圣诞树。一切都准备好了。

My friends arrive. “Where is the surprise? A Christmas tree isn’t a surprise.” says Peter. “There,” I say.

我的朋友们都到了。Peter问“惊喜在哪儿？一棵圣诞树可算不上惊喜。”

我说“看！”

“Your grandpa !”says Kim. But Peter says , “Having a grandpa here isn’t much of a surprise .” “Wait and see!” I say.

Kim说“你爷爷在这儿！”但是Peter说，“爷爷在这里，也算上什么惊喜。”“等等看嘛”我说到。

We eat and play games. Then grandpa goes outside.

我们吃东西，玩游戏。爷爷走了出去。

We go outside into the dark. “There is a big surprise!” I say.

我们走到了外面，我说“这儿有个大大的惊喜哦！”

　　Bo shouts, “Your grandpa is Father Christmas!”

Bo 惊喜地喊道“你的爷爷是圣诞老人！”

Everybody gets to fly. “You win, Ben,” say my friends. “ This is the best bit of the whole year!”

大家飞了起来。我的朋友们都说“你赢了，Ben，这真是一年里最美好的一刻！”

It’s the best of all for me. I fly with grandpa all night,delivering presents.

对我来说，这也是最快乐的时光了。整个夜晚我都陪着爷爷一起飞来飞去，给小朋友们送去礼物。
