M：WOW, it's amazing. What does it look like? Does it look like the volcano eruption?

B：Yes.

M：Or is it like a cosmic explosion?

B：All alike.

M：That's how the earth came into being，and that's how life began. Let's go up to see what's inside.

Catfish

M：It's catfish. Can you guess why its name is catfish?

B：Because it has whiskers like a cat.

M：Yes. So his name is catfish.

They are very common in the Mississippi River. He likes to eat things from the bottom of the river. That is why he is called a bottom feeder. See how he stay close to the bottom of the tank. So cool.

Jelly Fish.

1、Jelly fish is a very beautiful aquatic animal.

2、Its body shape is like a transparent umbrella.

3、There are some tentacles like whiskers on the edge of the “umbrella”.

4、They were even earlier than dinosaurs.

5、Some jellyfish are not only change their color, but also glow in the water, some of them with week light green or blue purple light. When they swim in the sea, they become a colorful ball.

Spider crab

M：Do you know why it is called spider crab?

B：Because it has eight legs and looks like a spider, it is called spider crab.

Spider crabs are carnivores, especially like to eat the carcasses.

Shark tank

1、Talk about the body part of a shark.

2、Darker on top and lighter underneath.

3、Sharks have lived on earth since before the dinosaurs.

4、Most sharks are carnivores or meat eaters. They eat fish, and sea mammals like seals and dolphins

5、Some sharks are scary and dangerous, but some are nice and gentle.

6、Sharks have very sharp teeth. They can't stop swimming or they will sink.

M：This shark's name is Lemon Shark.

B：Why its name is Lemon Shark?

M：Because its belly is yellow like lemon.

Sand Eel.

1、Sand eel is in the sand of the sea bottom. When the sand eel dives from the tail to half of its body. It lives a life like seaweed.

2、Eat plankton or small fish passing by.

3、The body is thin. It is as thin as a pencil. 4、When the enemy comes，the eel hides its whole body in the sand. It's a way for them to protect themselves.

Beluga(White Whale）

1、It is a small toothed whale. it has a bulbous forehead and a white body.

2、Whales are mammals who live in the ocean. The blue whale is the biggest animal on earth.

3、Whales are carnivores, they eat fish，sea-creatures like seals, squid，krill and even other whales.

4、Some whales have teeth to help them eat, and some have baleen to help them catch their dinner.

5、Whales breath air through their blowholes.

6、They can live a long time,even up to 90 years old.

7、Whales don't sleep like people, but instead take quick naps.

There are 75 different kinds of whales.

Differences among seals, sea lions and walruses

Seals: no small ears, walking and wriggling, pushing the water with behind legs.

Sea lions: have small ears, can train, can head the ball, walk and paddle with their front flippers.

A fur seal is similar to a sea lion. It is covered with fur and has a short face. But unlike sea lions, sea dogs can't learn skills, and their fur is precious.

Walruses: the most striking is the pair of giant tusks, fat walruses that can be trained to do "exercise".

每次做field trip，虽然准备了很多的资料，可是去到那里还是发现有些资料是没有准备的，比如说小宝对着模拟海洋循环系统的那个模具产生了兴趣，可是我一下子没有准备，也不知道怎么讲。另外，有些人文的内容也可以加入进来，比如说郑和下西洋，还有到现在中国海军的崛起，航空母舰等都可以带入到Field trip里面一起说，这些遗憾就留着下次的Field trip吧！
