To COBS bread partners,

This holiday season, we volunteers from ECSSEN Career School would like to express our highest appreciation to COBS store owners and staff. We are so honored to partner with you. We have been picking up your End of Day products from 6 locations. So far we have delivered about $250,000 of your generous donations to where it’s needed most.

Our little bread recipient, Eudora, made this lovely card especially for you. We know you guys get up every day at 3:00am to prepare fresh baked goods. Your hard work is greatly appreciated by our recipients and volunteers.

Another recipient made this card with his appreciative words. He is a special needs teen who does well at a regular school. With your donation he is able to make sandwiches and bring them to his school events.

Our volunteers wrapped Christmas gifts. Volunteers Lucy and Emily had a wonderful connection with the Kensington store staff before Christmas. The bread and sweets they picked up on December 22nd were delivered to the YWCA and Calgary Jiang Zhe Shanghai Association, an agency serving immigrant seniors who are mostly low income. About 40 families going through hard times also benefited from that single night’s abundant donation. In the past 3 years the bread we received from 6 COBS stored has served over a thousand individuals and families.

Our volunteers, Agnes and David, brought our appreciation to Kingsland store on December 22nd. We are so, so impressed with your wonderful staff’s kindness in helping our volunteers pack End of Day products so we can deliver it in good shape to recipients.

Our volunteer, Jessica, made this card and sent it to the Mahogany store on Christmas Eve when she and her parents picked up bread. This volunteer-based partnership has attracted many families to contribute to our community together, building a strong bond among family members.

From Stephen To, the owner of Mahogany COBS Store: “We are luck to have you and your volunteers picking up end of day products and deliver them to the needy. Without you, the food would go to waste as we don’t have any mechanism in place to do it. Thank you for all you do to help the community and needy.”

From Olanike Falade, the owner of Kensington COBS store: “Thank you for the card and the gift. Kelly hand made this Happy New Year card and sent to Shawnessy COBS. Among the team of our volunteers there are many 7- 18 years old students who enjoy picking up and distributing bread under the supervision of their parents like Kelly with her Dad. It’s a very good way to influence young generation to respect food and help others.

We thank you, COBS Bread owners and employees! We cherish our meaningful partnership!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
