　　Teaching is an art, but the art of class teaching is idiographic represent of teaching art. In order to improve the teaching abilities of young teachers in our group, we, English Teaching & Researching Group，held an activity about how to give students a more effective class. 

  The activity included two main parts. Firstly，we observed a reading class given by Li Suyun in Class Two Senior One. She was good at organizing the class, and her spoken English was so fluent. In her class, the students took part in the activities optimistically and effectively.

   Interest is the best teacher. We think an excellent English class ought to be not only knowledgeable but interesting. Thus, we often use multimedia and other teaching aids to assist our teaching, which can arouse students’ interest in learning English.

   Students are forming good habits of previewing and taking notes.

　　The members of our group are concentrating on listening to the class carefully.

   After observing Ms Li’s class, we had a discussion about this lesson. Everyone gave their own opinions. We thought Ms Li had better pay more attention to the writing at the end of the class, and it will be better to design more activities for students.

   Together, individuals can make a difference. The new curriculum reform put forward much higher request of the teachers. So our group will continue trying our best to improve our class teaching！
