1. What is Bee？

A bee is an insect. 
An insect is an animal that has six legs, three parts to its body (head, thorax,and abdomen), and usually two wings.

2. The bee has many facts:

Let's talk about little bee.

Talk about antennae:

Mum: Let's look at this picture of a honey bee. 

(Point to the antennae in the picture.)

What do you think the bee uses its antennae for?

It uses its antennae to feel something.

What do you use to feel with?

Emma: I don't know.

Mum: You use your eyes to see! 

You use your nose to smell!

You use your mouth to taste!

You use your ear to hear!

And you use your hand to touch!

Mum: If a bee finds a big flower full of nectar, it will fly back to the hive and tell the other bees where they can find it too. but the way that they talk to each other isn't by speaking,buzz, buzz, buzz...

Mum: They talk to each other by dancing.

They do a thing called the waggle dance, it's really amazing, let's take a look at a bee doing the waggle dance, do you see that bee waggling it's body?

If the flower is near, they dance like "around". if the flower is far, they dance like an "eight".

Talk about tongue and body:

Mum: Look at the bee's tongue. It is long and shaped like a tube. The bee uses its tongue to suck up nectar like you use a straw to suck up liquids.

How many eyes do you have？How many eyes do you think a bee has?
A bee has five eyes. Bees don't see color the way that we do.
They can't see red; it looks black to them. They can see other colors like blue, yellow, and white.

The bee has three legs and four wings. 

Then point to the pollen basket. This is the bee's pollen basket. After the bee collects pollen from flowers, it cleans the pollen off with its tongue and stores it in the pollen basket.

Talk about Stinger:

(Point to the stinger in the picture.)

Mum: Did you know that the female bee has a stinger, but the male bee, which is called a drone, does not? 

Emma: What is this?

This is the queen bee.

Emma: The queen bee lay eggs.

Mum: That's right.

It is female, so it has Stinger that you cannot see it. because it is hiding in its backside.

Mum: Did you see this one? This little bee is Drone, it is male. 

You know actually you and me are female, and your brother and your daddy are male.

So the male has no stinger.

Their only job is to mate with the queen.

Except that they did nothing.

Mum: Look here. This is the worker bee.

It is female, too.

You know what the worker bee do? They almost do everything.

They collect nectar, gather pollen back to the hive, and they clean the home and feed the baby.

If there is some predator coming, they will fight with them.

💥拓展1⃣️：Bee Finger Puppet 

What you need: 

Bee printout, Glue, Black pipe cleaner, Stapler(订书机), Scissors 
What you do:
1. Print bee pattern and cut out.
2. Cut out the two circles for the fingers.
3. Cut pipe cleaner into two small pieces and form into antennae.
4. Attach to the head with stapler and glue.
5. Fold wing and add glue to the wing as indicated on pattern.
6. Let dry.

Mum: Look, this is a little bee！

Little bee, little bee can make sound, sound, sound. Bzzzz...

Emma: I want to make a Papa bee and Mama bee, Brother bee and Sister Bee.

Mum: Good idea!!

拓展2⃣️：The lifecycle of the bee
1.The queen lays each egg in a different cell of the honeycomb. (女王把每个卵产在蜂巢的不同细胞中)

2.As soon as the egg is laid,the larva is growing inside it. (卵子一下蛋，幼虫就在里面生长)3.After three days,the egg hatches and a larva crawls out. (三天后，卵孵化，幼虫爬出来)

4.As the larva grows,it sheds its skin.It does this five times. (随着幼虫的成长，它会脱皮，做了五次)

5.Eight days after hatching,the bee larva is fully grown. (孵化8天后，蜜蜂幼虫完全发育成熟)

6.The larva cannot feed anymore and it starts to change into a pupa. (幼虫不能再进食，开始变成蚝)

7.After nine days,the pupa changes colour. It has turned into an adult. (九天后，辅变色。它已经长大成人了)

8.When it's about three to four weeks old, the bee will leave the hive.(当它大约三到四周大时，蜜蜂就会离开蜂巢)

Game3⃣️：Number Bees
What you do:
Print Number Bees on paper.
Laminate for extra strength.
1. Number Recognition:
Mum: Look at the number bees, can you tell me what number you see?

Emma: 1, 2, 3...

(数字识别对她来说非常容易，她对数字一直非常感兴趣）
2. Number Order
Mum: I have some number blocks.

Would you help me to put it on the board and the number should be the same as the number bee. The number 1 come to be the first one.

Emma: Finished！

3. Counting Numbers

Mum: can you count numbers from 1 to 20?

Emma: Yes, I can!

Mum: OK, now can you count numbers backwards from 20 to 1？

Emma: 20, 19, 18...

(倒数练习了几遍，基本上就可以说出来了; 正数非常流利)

📚动物主题重新理了框架，每次做2-3个拓展，2-3个游戏，加一个手工！Facts部分如何做的有趣，还要多想想办法！

总结：口语可以做到整句输出，但是还不能自由表达和反馈。
