• Pipe-cleaner snowflake ornaments

These easy snowflake pipe cleaner ornaments are so COOL and they're really simple to make. This is such an easy Christmas craft that you can make in less than 5 minutes 

Materials

2 sparkly silver  pipe cleaners (12 inch)

Instructions

1. Cut one of the pipe cleaners into 3 equal pieces. 
2. Take all 3 pipe cleaner pieces and line them up so the ends are even.
3. Twist all three pipe cleaners together at the center. Twist them two or three times so they stay together.
4. Spread out each of the pipe cleaners evenly into a star shape 
5. Take the second pipe cleaner and cut it into 6 equal pieces. 
6. Take one of the 2 inch pipe cleaner pieces and twist it around one of the pipe cleaner ends in the star shape you made. Twist it so there's an equal length of pipe cleaner on both sides.
7. Bend the ends outwards to make a V shape. Then repeat these steps for all 6 points on your snowflake.
8. Add some string or ribbon to your snowflake and hang it on the tree!

Your snowflake is complete! So simple, so pretty and you only need 2 pipe cleaners!

Tie some string around one of the snowflake points and it’s ready to hang on the Christmas tree.

You can vary the sizes and length of the pieces to make whatever type of snowflake you want!

This Christmas calendar is quite simple to make, here goes the list of material you will need:

24 sheets of brown paper (or any other color you like)

The PDF star template

Printer

Sewing machine and white thread

White embroidery thread 刺绣/ɪmˈbrɔɪdərɪ/

Some small Christmas ornaments

A hole puncher

A dowel and a wood ring /ˈdaʊəl/ 木钉

Steps:

1. You first need to print the star shapes. Once the 24 sheets are printed, cut the 48 stars, one for the front and one for the back of each envelope.
2. To create the envelope we can stitch the sides of both stars, leaving the top open to be able to slide a note inside. But we don't have a sewing machine.No worries if you don’t have a sewing machine, you can just glue the edges together it will work as fine.
3. Punch a hole in the top tip, and put a note with some family activities to do, a nice a quote, or the name of a Christmas tale to read.
4. Put your stars in lines (or not), just arrange them the way you want to hang them on the dowel rod.
5. Cut a piece of string and attach each star on the dowel. If you like, you can add some small ornaments like bells, wooden beads, pine branches… You can also wrap some garland around the dowel. 
6. To hang the advent calendar on the wall, cut a piece of string pass a wooden ring and attach the string at each end of the dowel.
7. And done! wait until December first and enjoy every day before Christmas.
