<h3>The sun, red and very large, seemed to halt motionlessly above the horizon, a vast dome glowing with a dull heat, and now and then suffering a momentary extinction. At one time it glowed, for a little while, more brilliantly again, but then speedily reverted to its sullen red heat. At five to six o'clock, the sun drew up the curtain of the grey clouds and vanished, leaving behind it all the twilight and emptiness.</h3>
