动物分布区：

Most of the kangaroos live in Australia. You can see kangaroos everywhere outside the cities and towns in Australia, not only in the zoos. They mainly live in groups, which means so many kangaroos live together but not stay alone. 

大多数袋鼠生活在澳大利亚。在澳大利亚的城市和城镇外，你到处都能看到袋鼠，不仅仅是在动物园里。它们主要群居，这意味着很多袋鼠生活在一起，而不是单独生活。

🔺2.【Habitat/Feeding habitat】

栖息地/食性：

Kangaroo is a herbivore, mainly eating plants and grass. They usually live on the forest and grassland. Kangaroo is the night life of animals, they like hiding in the woods during the day and like to eat at night.  

袋鼠是食草动物，主要吃植物和草。它们通常生活在森林和草原上。袋鼠是夜间生活的动物，它们喜欢白天躲在树林里，晚上喜吃东西。

行动：

The kangaroo can jump. They jump so high and fast,  because they have very strong and powerful legs. Also their tails are very strong too, and it is full of muscle. When they want to have a rest, they rest on their tails. They use their tails to keep balance. And when they are walking slowly, the tail may act as a fifth leg.

袋鼠会跳, 它们跳得又高又快，因为它们有强壮而有力的腿。它们的尾巴也很强壮，而且肌肉发达。当它们想休息的时候，它们就躺在尾巴上休息，它们用尾巴来保持平衡。当它们走得很慢的时候，尾巴可以充当第五只脚。

Kangaroo is a Mammal just like human being. (Mammal means mother give birth to babies rather than laying eggs. And babies drink milk from its mother’s body. Humans, dogs, and whales are mammals. ) We call the baby kangaroo “joey”.

袋鼠和人类一样是哺乳动物。哺乳动物是指母亲生孩子而不是下蛋。婴儿喝母亲的奶。人类、狗和鲸鱼都是哺乳动物。我们叫小袋鼠“joey”

特征：

All the mother kangaroo have a front open pouch ( a bag in the tummy) , to keep their baby safe. Baby kangaroo stay in mummy’s pouch for 5-6 months until they can hop around by themselves.
