Peas are seeds that grow inside pods.On big farm,machines shake the peas from the pods.Then the peas are frozen quickly to keep them fresh.

We eat the seeds of some bean plants and the whole pod and seads of others.

Onions are bulbs and so are garlic and leeks.Bulbs are made up of lots of layers of fleshy leaves.

Garlic bulbs have separate sections,called cloves.

Cut an onion in half to show its layers.
