The day before yesterday afternoon when I got the bad news from Zhu I am totally unacceptable. Nothing I can say，any words feels so feeble. As proud as LD I think he does not need anybody to show sympathy to his disease. He totally understands the life and he has a wonderful life already. We only want to tell him how much we respect and admire him. I have no courage to call to him even no courage to call to Lily at this moment. I have so much wonderful memories of seven years to work in TSG, Mr. Davis as the boss has been gave me so much life guidance and I will appreciate him for all my life. 

I clearly remember the first day to see him in the city office，He and Mr. Paetzmen went back from the factory to have the interview with me; at that time I don’t know how to use computer and know nothing about international trade. That was in 2001. In fact, the time I start to work in TSG is my really span of time to have the higher education and the chance is Mr. Davis gave it to me. He has excellent management skill, we were be fully trust and have the freedom, at the same time that meanings we must fulfill all the work assignments with all of our strength. Why he can do this? I think he is the man have seen many people and understanding human nature, that is not only based on the education but also the wisdom he have. After left TSG when I worked in the Guangzhou company for 1 year, in that company I have to wait in lined for the boss to stamp on the daily documents really waste too much time,  compare with LD that boss gave himself too much trouble. The way of management LD use is what I feel most effective way and I learn to use in my daily work also but I know I still have a long way to really understanding.

During the time we worked with him, he is around 60 years old and most of us around 25-30 years old. We never feel the age difference. One scene is very interesting: One day one of our young guys wants to pick up one box of paper to factory and he lift it then quickly put it down—too heavy! Then he wanted just pick part of it, LD was followed him then he picked that whole box so easily and stepped out quickly.He has great sense of humor (I always feel this is to show the top of wisdom) and infections laugh. He is live VOA and likes to talk so much interesting things to us especially for the colleagues work with him in the factory everyday. That’s why factory colleagues’ English is better than us. He is a person full of passion to life, during the time he stay in China he learn Chinese and try to understand our culture, he has open mind to accept new things. 

Except work, in the city office I didn’t communicate with him very often especially my spoken English is not good. Most of time when we together I am a listener with silly smiles.  But when I have really difficult work problem LD would talk to me in the coffee shop under our office. We have several chances to talk. He is the best leader in my life, every time after he talked to me I will find back the confidence to work. Some people have magic power to light others, he is.

He knows a lot of literature and arts but the simple way he can communicate with us is about movies and US TV series. At that time he lent a lot of video to us that are also a good way to let us improve English.

Once he invited us to his apartment in Guiyang, his home is very clean and he cooked delicious food for us especially a chilly soup. Two of his Africa friends came that day I remember they sing Together the atmosphere is so high.

In 2003, he sent me to work in Zhengzhou which gave me so important experience to work and live alone.

In 2005 Zhu, Vivien and me went to HK with him, that is my first time to HK and also is an unforgettable trip in my life, by the way he walks so fast we can not follow him！In 2007, I left Guiyang and left TSG to Guangzhou, the farewell party he gave to me is so warm. I kept the recommendation letter he wrote to me as a precious gift. When we say goodbye, he said: “Take care! Call me whenever you need.” I totally believe he would really give me help when I need. With his support I have so much strength to find another way of my life.

In 2008, Guangzhou, LD and several colleagues came here for Canton Fair. He was kindly invited me for dinner, how happy I was to see him again, but at the end he paid the bill. He never know how regret I was, I really want to pay the bill for once. Xiao Zhu told me: “Never mind, next time, you pay.”

I am terribly sorry for that I can not give any support to him at this tough time, but we trust as wisdom as he can find his internal peace and get through the difficult time. Life is a magic journey and I still believe in some miracles.

Dear LD, I do appreciated what you have taught to me, the time when we work with you is so valuable time in our young age. You lead us to see the world in another way. Thank you so much, we all love you so deeply, we wish you all the best with our sincerely heart. Take care!
