Hello everyone, I'm Echo. You know, in our lifetime there are always many turning points . I used to be a very shy girl, but everything has changed when I was in junior high. I could say that was my first turning point in my life. Now let me tell you a story about it.

      Well, I've always been an ordinary girl, I think there's nothing special about me. I try to be low in the crowd, not to mention reading the text in class. In a normal English class, my English teacher encouraged me to read the text aloud and confidently. After I read it, she gave me a look of joy and satisfaction. It was the first time that I realized my spoken English was so good. Gradually, I found what I was good at, what I liked. I am actively involved in various English activities designed by my teacher. I was happy to share the joy of learning English. Also, I attended all kinds of English competitions and I even got the province's special prize. In the process, the timid girl of the past is gone, replaced by a more confident and brave one. Even I graduated from senior high now, I still think the days I spend in my junior high was the most important period in my youth.      During my senior high, I'd love to show myself. Even when I sing English songs at the whole school's adult ceremony, I don't feel nervous or afraid. On the contrary, I feel a sense of happiness and presence. Music is a way for me to relieve stress，when I feel exhausted, tired, helpless or upset, I would play my guitar, then I'll just feel much better. English and music have completely changed me.     For me, what's the meaning of English? Let me ask you a question, How can you make your life meaningful? The answer is you need to have something to chase. Just several days ago, I chose a major related to English to attend college. As for me, English is much more than a subject.It brings a brand new me and show me the way to the future. There are so many people spending their whole life not finding what they want, what they want to purpose. I think I'm the lucky one. I know there will be many difficulties and I know I'm not the best one, but I will work hard in the direction I want to go. Because that is what I want...

　　大家好，我是Echo。你知道，人的一生会遇见许多的转折点。我曾经是个非常害羞的女生，但在我读初中的时候，一切都改变了。我想这便是我人生的第一个转折点。现在就让我来给你讲讲我的故事吧。      我一直都是一个很平凡的女孩子，我也不认为我的身上有什么闪光点。我在人群中尽力保持低调，更不用说在全班同学面前展现自己了。在一节普通的英语课上，我的英语老师鼓励我大声且自信地去朗读课文。朗读完后，她投来了欣喜和满意的目光。那是我第一次意识到我的口语是很棒的。渐渐地，我发现了我所擅长的和我所喜欢的。我积极的投入到老师设计的各种各样的英语活动中，很乐意与大家分享英语学习的快乐。并且我参加了很多英语比赛，甚至得到了全省特等奖。经过三年的成长，过去那个胆怯的女孩已经不复存在，取而代之的是一个自信和勇敢的少年。即使我现在已经高中毕业了，我仍然认为初中的点点滴滴是我青春时代最重要的时期。      在我的高中期间，我很乐意去展现自己。即使是在全校的成人礼上唱英文歌，我也不感到紧张和害怕，相反有一种快乐与存在感。音乐是我释放压力的一种方式，当我感到疲惫和困倦，无助和伤心时，我就会弹起我的吉他，一切似乎都变得更好起来。英语和音乐彻底的改变了我。       于我而言，英语的意义是什么？让我问你一个问题：怎样才能使你的人生有意义？ 答案是：你要有所追求。几天前，我选择了与英语相关专业的大学。对我来说英语决不仅仅是一个学科，它带来了一个崭新的我并且指引我通向未来的道路。有太多太多的人花了一辈子的时间都找不到他们说想要什么，想追求什么。我想我是幸运的。我知道未来的路上会有许多的困难，我也知道我从来就不是最优秀的那一个，但我会朝着我认定的方向努力前行，因为那是我所想要的......
