Let’s get into the nest.（钻椅子洞）Follow me. This is a tunnel. （关灯）It’s dark in the tunnel. An ant nest is made of a lot of tunnels and rooms. See, there is a room. It’s our room where we can eat and sleep.

 We can see insect teamwork by watching ants.If one ant finds the food,it leads other ants there to eat it too.Ants use their antennas to help them find food. They touch and smell with their antennas. They can use our antennae to transmit information. They follow each other by making long trails.The ants go back and forth collecting the food.When we move the fruit, the ants will still find it. But,instead of making a new direct route to the food, they will follow each other via their old trail route.

Yes, it's a big ant. we can see three parts of the ant. this is head, thorax ，abdomen and the antenna, compound eye, jaw, and how many legs does it have?

An ant has six legs. it's an insect.Now you are an ant. and I am an ant, too . We are the harvest ants.Ants use their antennas to help them find food. They touch and smell with their antennas.We can use our antennae to transmit information. and I'll know what you mean, what you say when our antennae touch each other. 

come on, use your antennae to touch my antennae. What. You don't want to touch my antenna because you need to clean your antennas. we can comb on our legs for cleaning antennas. Ants talk to each other by touching antennas.

What do ants eat?

Ants eat fruit. meat. seeds and vegetables depending on the type of ant．

1.  Carpenter（木蚁） ants eat fruits and red fire ants（红火蚁） are meat eaters. Different ants eat different foods and ants are omnivorous, so they eat many different things. Carpenter ants Especially like sweet juices we get from insects and from plants too.
2. Leaf-cutting ants make underground gardens with leaves they cut, they grow mushrooms in the gardens for food.
3. Army ants travel in large groups like armies.they devour吞食 huge numbers of insects, including termites. 
4. Formica /fɔːˈmaɪkə/ ants mostly eat juices that they suck from insects they kill. 
5. Cornfield ants like to eat the sweet juices or honeydew they get from aphids. Aphids suck the juices from plants, then the ants milk aphids for honeydew.
   

If one ant finds food, others follow. Soon there will be a lot of ants carrying away lunch. If one ant can't carry anything, others may help. But each worker ant is strong. An ant can lift as much as 50 times its own weight. If people could lift like that, we could each lift a car. The workers carry the food back to the ant city .Ants share the food they find.

• Handcraft Ant
  

Materials.

1. Cardboard egg carton. 
2. Scissors
3. Yellow Blue Gouache paint （or any other color you want for your ant)
4. Paintbrush.
5. Four pipe cleaners- three for the legs and one for the antenna
6. skewer.
7. Wiggly eyes.
8. Black marker.

Craft instructions:

1. Cut a strip of cups(three cups )from the egg carton. Adults can do this before craft time.
2. Paint the cups and let them dry.
3. Using a sharp skewer to poke two holes in the Top of the first cup. 
4. From underneath ,poke both ends of the pipe cleaner through the holes (one end through each hole )to make the antennae.
5. You can twirl the ends around the paintbrush to make them curly.
6. Using the skewer again, poke one hole on each side of each cup. (Six holes in total. )Adults can do this step.
7. Thread a pipe cleaner into the holes in the first cup.
8. you can bend little feet into the ends of the pipecleaner if you like.
9. Repeat with the second and 3rd cup.
10. You should end up with six legs when you are down.
11. Glue the wiggly eyes onto the head.
12. Draw a mouth with a black marker

I swatted two mosquitos successfully.

The animal i hate the most is mosquito.

That bad bug like sting us to suck our blood. It causes big bump on our skin and inchy.

Since you're wearing shorts, let me spray some mosquito repellent /rɪˈpɛlənt/ on your legs before we go out.
