While most people in the world are spending summer in the heat, if you live in San Francisco, you are probably spending most of your summer under and inside the fog. Fog is unique in the SF Bay Area during a good few months each year, typically between May and September. Temperature usually ranges from 50-60F during the summer and if you are close to the coast, you may not even see the sun. Sometimes it can feel miserable. But it is totally different if you try to get above it. To me, sometimes, it's like going to heaven from hell. When the fog height and flow are great, it can be very breathtaking. It is a great way to destress and enjoy this unique scene and phnomenan. To show you some of the photos I captured out of my many attempts going up the mountain above the fog, I put together the following gallery for you to get a glimpse of what I mean.

Afternoon daylight time

Sunbeam on the way up the mountain

Golden Hour

After sunset

Sunrise

East Peak overlooking SF

Fog under moonlight

See link below for more fog photo collections

Fog City
