A TRAVEL TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE UNION OF MYANMAR 

                      前往缅甸联邦共和国旅行

    In this winter vacation my wife and I traveled to Myanmar for eight days and seven nights. We went through immigration and customs with our “Tourist Visa Approval Letter to Myanmar”. Although we were foreign citizens,we had nothing to declare.

       

        在这个寒假里，我和妻子去缅甸旅行了八天七夜。我们带着“缅甸旅游签证批准函”通过了移民和海关检查。虽然我们是外国公民，但我们没有什么要申报的。

We were very lucky to visit the Great Gold Tower when the sun was setting. The sunset filled the sky and glowed on the land,especially on the “U Bein”.

我们非常幸运地在日落时参观了金塔。夕阳洒满了天空，照耀着大地，尤其是“U Bein”。

    We watched the scenery from the carriage. Horse-drawn Tours have been running here for more than a decade. The beauty greeted our eyes.  Remember to give a little money to the little monks     and the nuns when they are begging for alms,   and some tips to the coachman with the strong brown horse.

        我们坐马车上看风景。这里的马车旅游已经有十多年的历史了。美景映入我们的眼帘。记住，当小和尚和修女们乞求施舍时，要给他们一些钱，并且适当地给那匹强壮的棕色马和马车夫一些小费。

     I told the coachman that we were from Shanghai China. I asked him: “How many years have you been doing this job?”“Ten years.” He answered. “Do you speak Chinese?” “Only a little ,for example 你好，谢谢, etc .”“The number of Chinese tourists coming here will keep increasing. Anyone can be speak Chinese if he studies hard “. “Ok.“ He answered pleasantly. Sometimes we had a stop to take some pictures, sometimes we accessed in the scenery spot to see carefully. Especially if we needed to go to the rest room, the coach would stop for us at any time. We have retired  so we can enjoy our free time and slow life with the local people here. Myanmar’ s people are happy and friendly. That is great！

        我告诉马车夫我们来自中国上海。我问他:“你做这份工作有几年了?”“十年了。”他回答说。“你会说汉语吗?””“只有一点,比如你好,谢谢,等等。”“中国游客来这里的数量将会持续上升。只要努力学习，任何人都能讲汉语。“好吧。他愉快地回答。有时我们会停下来拍些照片，有时我们会去风景名胜区仔细看看。特别是当我们需要去洗手间的时候，马车夫会随时为我们停车。我们已经退休了，所以我们可以享受我们的自由时间和慢生活与当地人在这里。缅甸人民幸福友好。太棒了！

When we were at the Aung Zeyya Market, I heard that there’s an amazing woman. She is 91 years old and has been selling fruits and vegetables here every day for over 8 years. The woman has been smoking her cheroot and always smiling for the customers’ cameras.

当我们在昂泽亚市场，我听说有一个了不起的女人。她今年91岁，8年来每天都在这里卖水果和蔬菜。这位女士一直在抽烟，对着顾客的照相机总是面带微笑。

At the another market,there’s a strong man ,he is 28 years old, married with two boys and one girl ,he has worked in market for 8 years selling fruits and flowers and some house products.His day starts at 8 in the morning buying his fruits and flowers from the main market and starts at about 10 am in this market,his stall closes at 6 pm.By the way, they rent their stalls from administrator for about 1,000 to 1,600 Kyat per month. At the exchange rate ,one thousand kyat is about five yuan. It is true that the standard of living of   the local poor is relatively low, but their happiness index is fair.

        在另一个市场，有一个强壮的男人，他28岁，已婚，有两个男孩和一个女孩，他在市场工作了8年，卖水果，鲜花和一些家庭用品。他每天早上8点开始在主要市场买入水果和鲜花，上午10点左右开始在这个市场卖出，他的摊位下午6点关门。顺便说一下，他们从管理员那里租用摊位，每月租金约为1000至1600缅元。按汇率计算，1000缅元大约是5元人民币。的确，当地穷人的生活水平相对较低，但他们的幸福指数是公平的。

    Carriage or cycling or on foot tour in Myanmar is always fun, wonderful and affordable. You will discover the countryside and the urban area and CHINATOWN，and   the birds   are flying above Yangon River.At these days ,we have to enjoy our free time with day and night， because it  is the best way to discover Myanmar’s tradition at rural area  and get deeper of Myanmar. 

        在缅甸，坐马车、骑自行车或徒步旅行总是充满乐趣、美妙和实惠。你会发现农村和城市地区，唐人街,鸟儿在仰光河上飞翔。在这些天,我们享受自由时间,因为它是最好的方法来发现缅甸传统农村,得到更深层次的了解缅甸。

       After traveling, I will never forget this original land and people who believe deeply in Buddhism. I will never forget the strong brown horse that led my wife and me on our sightseeing tour.   I will   never forget  the  kind people  who  live in this  land with their smiles.

        旅游归来，我不会忘记这片原生态的土地及笃信佛教的当地人；不会忘记那匹强壮的棕色的马，拉着妻与我观光当地的美景；不会忘记生活在这里,面带微笑心底善良的人们。

山人缅甸行走感悟

        踏上缅甸的土地，你会立即感到浓郁的佛教气息扑面而来，会发现四处都有金碧辉煌、造价昂贵的庙宇。当地人宁可自己缩衣节食，也要为庙宇多捐钱款。同时，游走缅甸你又会看到四处都有穷乡僻壤和当地贫民与高脚茅屋；你会觉得自己有时难以找到合适的消费场合；但你必然会听到四周佛音轻远。虽如此，但人民是友善的，对佛教文化是虔诚且执着的，所以到这里你可以拜拜佛主，但应该尽可能做好几件事情：

        一、一日三餐吃干净自己碗里的最后一粒米饭，吃完自己拿在盘子中的蔬果和菜肴，吃完后适当地收拾一下自己使用过的杯、盘、碗等。

        二、遵守当地习俗，遵守社会道德，遵守法律法规。心存善意，心存理解，心存感恩。与当地人交往面带微笑、多竖大拇指。

        三、加强环保意识，无论在干净的宾馆还是去到周边环境污染的地方游玩，从自己做起，让自然环境和人文环境没有因你的原因造成一丝遗憾，为上海人争光，为中国人争光！

        此次缅甸行走，请回一尊佛主，带回家，放灯旁。常忆此行，山人与妻入寺院十余座或参拜或观光，十分幸运愉快。诚恳自似对联，上联：寺院寺庙敲铜鐘，下联：慈悲慈善聚因缘，横批：修习大觉。山人曾经行走祖国宝岛台湾省【佛光山寺】时，見到寺院周围或墙上、或院內过道边贴有许多开山宗长星云大师的教导：“天雨不润无根草 ，佛光普照有缘人”。

释迦牟尼佛曾说：“奇哉，奇哉！大地众生皆有如来智慧德相，但以妄想执著，不能证得。”指出一切众生皆具佛性，皆可成佛。噢，若是想进步，想健康，想要进一步靠近佛的理念，除靡费、遵道德、存善念。心静如水地去体验和感悟生活，如同体验和感悟一个纯静、纯洁、纯粹的原生态的缅甸联邦共和国。
