Pull the rope is based on a sport called tag of war. It is a game where two teams compete against each other in a test of strength as well as teamwork and unity. 

Tug of war is one of the most ancient game on earth--dating back at least to ancient Egypt, greece and China.Tug of war even spend some time at an Olympic sport. 

In the game,two players or teams on either side trying to put other passed a mid-point using a rope in between.

1.Act it out

Ok,you be the turkey,put is a shuttlecock on your bottom to pretend the tail.

Let's tie a piece of short string on the center of the rope as the mark.Our goal is to pull the marker past the center point while the other one is trying to do the same.

2.Peppapig Characters Tug of war

I found out some peppapig puppets for the tug of war game.

1.To get started, all we need to do is take our rope and lay it out in a straight line on the ground.There should be a marker in the center of the rope.

2.Place the opponents. We can play tug of war in teams or as an one-on-one game. Let's have a team game first,so make sure that we have an equal number of players on either side of the rope. If you are playing with just two people, then stand at opposite ends of the rope.

3.Grip the rope. Have all of the players pick up the rope and grip it tightly with both hands. Do this before we start the game so that everyone has a chance to get a good grip on the rope.

4.Never anchor the rope around your waist or coil it around other parts of your body. That's really dangers.

5.Place the judge in the center.The judge can be someone who does not want to play or an extra person if we have an odd number of players. Let's count out the players first.We have 39players,it's an odd number.We can ask Madam Gazelle for the Judge.So we will have 18 players in each team.

6.The judge need a loud voice to signal to other players that the game has started.When the judge sounds the whistle or yells, then the game has officially started.

7.Pull as hard as you can. All players on either side should lean backwards with their feet planted as they pull to start.

8.Keep pulling until there is a victor. When one team or player has accomplished this goal, that team or player will be declared the winner.
