The Mid-Autumn Festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night.

The festival is a time to enjoy the family reunion and traditional Chinese activities.

Today, it is still an occasion for the Grade Four students to dress up as professional chefs and learn how to make mooncakes!

We held the special activity at the ancient and peaceful Longhua Temple.

Look at the excited faces! The chefs couldn’t wait to get started.

With the help of teachers, the Shengda chefs followed the steps and made out these adorable mooncakes with different shapes. All of the mooncakes seemed so yummy.

While waiting for the mooncakes to be baked, the chefs took the Chinese writing brushes to write the blessing wishes for the Mid-Autumn Festival on the boxes. Then they wrapped carefully as the gift for the family.

The mooncakes must be the best of the world, for they’re all handmade with love and wishes.
