今天的牛津树分级阅读Level 5的故事讲述了小袋鼠Sue第一天上学的经历。第一天在学校，Sue跟着老师和同学一起画画，贴画，享受音乐和午餐。放学的时候，Sue恋恋不舍地想把画笔、颜料都带回家，老师告诉她明天可以继续来学校一起玩，Sue开心极了，她太喜欢学校了！

This is school and this is Sue and this is Mummy Kangaroo.

这是学校，这是Sue，这是袋鼠妈妈。

The teacher's name is Mrs. Drew.

老师是德鲁太太。

She says hello to Mum and Sue.

她向袋鼠妈妈和Sue问好。

"This is Sue," says Mrs. Drew.

“这是Sue。”德鲁太太说，

"Do be kind to her. She's new."

“一定要对她好一些。她是新来的。”

"Time to paint," says Mrs. Drew. Sue says,

“画画的时间到了。”德鲁太太说。

"I like red and blue."

Sue说：“我喜欢红色和蓝色。”

"Time to glue," says Mrs. Drew.

"Sue can glue a kangaroo!"

“Sue能贴一只袋鼠！”

"Dinner time," says Mrs. Drew.

　　“晚饭的时间到了。”德鲁太太说。

"This is yummy stew," says Sue.

“这个炖菜真好吃。”Sue说。

"Music time," says Mrs. Drew.

　　“音乐课的时间到了。”德鲁太太说。

"I can play the spoons!" says Sue.

“我能用勺子演奏！”Sue说。

"Toot! Toot!" "Boom! Boom!"

“嘟嘟！嘟嘟！”“咚咚！咚咚！”

"Home time soon," says Mrs. Drew.

　　“马上就到回家的时间了。”德鲁太太说，

"But what is in your pocket,Sue?"

“但是，你口袋里是什么，Sue？”

Sue takes out a tube of glue.

Sue拿出一管胶水。

She takes some spoons and paint out too.

她还拿出几个勺子和颜料。

"The school has rules," says Mrs. Drew.

“学校有规定，”德鲁太太说，

"You can't take those things home with you."

“你不能把那些东西带回家。”

Sue is sad. "Don't cry," says Prue.

　　Sue很难过。“别哭。”Prue说，

"Play with them tomorrow, Sue."

“明天再玩儿吧，Sue。”

"Is there school tomorrow too?"

“明天也能上学？”

"Is that true? Hooray!" says Sue.

“真的吗？太棒了！”Sue说。

袋鼠妈妈来了。

"Hi, Mum! School is cool!" says Sue.
