故事简介：

狗狗喜欢香香的肉味，而猫猫喜欢什么呢？Too ManyCats 跟 Too Many Dogs都出自同一作者跟绘者之手，这本书里的一大群猫们，却是被大提琴手练习的音乐声吸引了，跟那些贪吃的狗狗相比，这些猫猫们是不是显得更为高雅一些呢？一大群猫猫们聚集到大提琴手的院子里，随着大提琴手演奏的音乐“引吭高歌”，但最终还是把大提琴手给逼到“崩溃”了。

发音要点

1、cats是[kæts]不是[kæs]或[kætʃ]；

2、stray[streɪ]字母t在s后，发音浊化发/d/；

3、gray[greɪ]、stray[streɪ]双元音[eɪ]要饱满，圆滑地从[e]滑动到[ɪ]；

4、more美音发[mɔr]，英音[mɔ:(r)]都可以。[m]发音要稍微浑厚一些，不能太轻描淡写，嘴要先闭住，不是张嘴发的'摸'或'猫'的感觉；卷舌音[r]不要发成中文的儿化音'魔儿'，应该把舌尖尽量向口腔后部卷；

5、slinky['slɪŋki]鬼鬼祟祟的、stinky['stɪŋki]发臭的：短音/i/的干脆有力不拖沓；字母t在s后浊化为/d/；后鼻音/ŋ/（当字母"n"出现在发音/k/前），注意发音位置，舌后部抬起并抵住软腭，阻止气流从口出而是从鼻出，声带震动，不要发成前鼻音/n/；

6、silly['sili]、chilly['tʃili]：注意两个短音/i/的干脆有力不拖沓；chilly注意清辅音/tʃ/，但不是中文'吃'，舌尖和舌端抬起贴住上齿龈后部，憋住气，然后舌尖稍稍下降，气流从舌和齿龈间的狭缝中冲出，摩擦成音，发音时声带不震动；

7、 furry[ˈfɜːri]毛绒绒的、purry[ˈpɜːri]咕嘟咕嘟的：/ɜː/双唇略扁平向嘴角两边略拉开，舌身平放，舌端离下齿，舌中部稍稍抬起，发美音的时候会带卷舌的感觉，是一个元音加一个卷舌动作；卷舌音/r/不要和/l/混淆，也不要发成中文的儿化音'瑞'，应该把舌尖尽量向口腔后部卷。

8、hurry['hʌrɪ]注意/ʌ/短元音，这个发音有点像发"啊"音时突然被谁卡住了脖子的感觉，所以叫"短啊音"，发音时双唇扁平，牙床介于开和半开之间，舌端离下齿，舌尖轻触下齿，舌中部稍稍抬起；

9、mean[miːn] green[griːn]，注意微笑元音，长元音/iː/，一定注意把音发足，嘴要向两侧尽量裂开，再加上前鼻音/n/，不要发成/in/；

10、音调和节奏上需要再注意一下Any more cats? 问句向上提一下表示询问，Many more cats！要读出非常吃惊的感觉。

语义学习

stray cat 流浪猫，这里和rich cat对应，强调它窘迫，孤单。

slinky 鬼鬼祟祟的，偷偷摸摸的，也有表示身材好，有曲线的意思。如：She's wearing a slinky black mini-skirt. 她身穿一条紧身的黑色迷你裙。

stinky 发臭的。I'll have a plate of stinky tofu 我要点一盘臭豆腐。

Purry 咕噜咕噜的响声。
