This is the last day we follow the guide.Tommorow morning we will go to the NASA camp.

Although we are going to leave Washington. We have 12 blissful day.I enjoyedbin it . But I still miss my mom and dad.

But tomorrow we have to get up at5:00a.m. And go to a new place.

Lincoln Memorial, considered an enduring statue of the United States and the Washington, d.c., symbol, was built to honor Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. Located on the western edge of the national mall in Washington, on the east bank of the Potomac river, the memorial hall is an ancient Greek temple built with white granite and marble.

The memorial hall broke ground in 1914 and was completed in 1922. The memorial hall has a solemn atmosphere and many tourists and students come to visit it by bus every day. Late President Abraham Lincoln is one of the most respected President of the United States, people will never forget his contributions to the United States of America ─ ─ emancipation and maintain unity of the United States. It was he who saw the ugliness of slavery from the lowest levels of society and exposed the hypocrisy of "all men are created equal". Although he was brutally assassinated, his spirit will live in the Lincoln memorial.

A marble statue of Lincoln sits in the center of the memorial, his hand on either side of the arm of the chair, looking somber. Statue is above the epigraph ─ ─ "Lincoln will never die, people's heart forever. The Lincoln memorial is a tribute not only to the late President, but to the entire nation. One of America's most enduring statues is preserved here. Lincoln's Gettysburg address and his second inaugural address were also engraved on the marble wall. The 36 columns represent the 36 states divided by the death of President Lincoln. Walk up the steps of the memorial, around the back of the Lincoln statue, and all you can see is the magnificent view of the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument. A reflection of the Washington Monument looms over the pool.

It is also a rallying point for those keen to rid society of its ills. Ever since king delivered his famous "I have a dream" speech here in 1963, the Capitol building on the eastern end of the country has been a distant sight.

The Lincoln memorial was inaugurated in 1922. Under the steps of the memorial, it extends to the Washington Monument, complete with a reflecting pool about 610 meters long. Thus, looking east in front of the Lincoln memorial, the reflecting pool just reflects the long Washington Monument, looking even more towering. Looking west from the Washington Monument, you can also find the reflection of the white Lincoln memorial in the water, more jade ice, sacred solemn. In normal times, the reflecting pool is a gathering place for wild ducks and seagulls.
