Take dubbing as a show , show the charm of English ——以音为秀，秀出英语魅力

The 1st English Dubbing Show was held in Shang De High School as planned On May 24, 2018. After two rounds of fierce competition, 12 teams of finalists left the judges deep impressions with their incredible performances in English and perfect teamwork.

Class 4 in Grade 1 and class 15 in Grade 2 swept away with the first prizes for their winning performances of “Storks” and “Zootopia”.

About background of this activity,

speech imitation has the effect of strengthening the foundation and application of language learning. Correct pronunciation and natural tone are the keys to understanding other people's language and expressing one's own thoughts, and interesting learning is the main factor to improve the effect.With the large number of foreign films and television programs entering China, the lines and the shaping of characters have not only brought fun to classmates but also brought students interest in learning English. Linguists agree that the imitation of phonetic intonation is an effective way to learn authentic language. Film and television dubbing put interesting and academic factors as a whole, stimulate the interest of language learners, and promote the effectiveness of learning.

语音仿对语言学习有着巩固基础与运用提高的效果，正确的发音与自然的语调是理解别人语言与表达自己思想的关键，而趣味学习又是提高效果的主要因素。随着外国的影视大量的进入中国，其中的台词，及人物的塑造，不仅给同学带来了乐趣，还给同学带来了学习英语的兴趣。语言学家一致认为语音语调的模仿则是学好地道语言的有效方法。影视配音兼趣味性，学术性于一体，能激发语言学习者的兴趣，促进学习效果的提高。

Taking the students’ growing interest in foreign films and television as an opportunity to learn and entertain, and at the same time step by step to improve their oral English ability, we want to enhance students’ understanding of foreign culture and lay a foundation for better use of English in the future.

以学生对于外国影视日益增长的兴趣为契机，寓教于乐，同时循序渐进的提高口语能力，增进学生对于外国文化的了解，为日后更好的运用英语打下基础。

In the form of a competition, it integrates entertainment and competition. It creates a stressful but relaxing atmosphere that better mobilizes the enthusiasm of students, enriches students' school life, and shows the personality and wisdom of students.

以竞赛的形式展开，融合娱乐性与竞争性于一体，通过营造既紧张又轻松的氛围，更好的调动学生们的积极以学生对于外国影视日益增长的兴趣为契机，寓教于乐，同时循序渐进的提高口语能力，增进学生对于外国文化的了解，为日后更好的运用外语打下基础。性，丰富学生的学校生活，展现学生的个性与智慧。

We provide a platform for students' interaction, strengthen the motivation for interpersonal communication, and promote the formation of a positive, progressive, harmonious campus culture atmosphere.

About coopetation，2 hosts and 4 hostess from Grade 1 and Grade 2 work together to make the show as a wonderful one.

Each team cooperated to show their wonderful performances.

Mr.He Qifa represented our school leaders to deliver a speech, hoping our students could show their oral English perfectly.

Mr.Li Yahong announced the Scoring Rules to make judges know them clearly.

Mr.Wang Wanrong announced the start of the show with a big smile.

Friendship, love, persistence, confidence，and cooperation are the themes of the 1st English Dubbing Show .

The team from Class 15 Grade 2 used the clip of Zootopia《疯狂动物城》to show determination and cooperation together.

　　About persistence and duty,

the team of Class 4 Grade 1chose the clips of Storks《逗鸟外传》to show their imatition and creation.

"It was our duty, our core belief,

the driving force of our very lifeblood.

It wasn't always easy.This was our challenge.

This was our sacred duty

No matter how tough or impossible

or brutal or harsh or inhumane or savage,

we would triumph over adversity." showed their persistence and duty despite the hardship they might meet.

About duty and forgiveness,

the team of Class 8 Grade 2 impressed the audience a lot."It was my duty,and my burdon."

"I have accepted what I am,and I have forgiven you,Now you must forgive yourseif,The world is changing once again"and "Real life is not like the story our father told us!you are a fool for believing it so!" So many words expressed the duty and forwgiveness.

About company, and growth,

the Son of Big Foot《我的爸爸是森林之王》brought us to the need for being accompanied by his father.

The one family are still chasing the sun or can be said to be chasing light, no longer afraid of the dark, a symbol of human life and growth in nature, will go in the evolutionary journey, let the audience's heart is full ofthe hope of life.

About dreams and creation,

this boy varied different voices to show that different attitudes towards dreams.

About expression,

contestants got into the movie so that they could express their true thoughts and feelings

to make judges and audience feel it just like it is real to them.

And the content of participating programs are all healthy and positive.

The players used pure voice, clear speech, smooth tone, and dress appropriately.

Contestants performed right pronunciation which requires accuracy plus clarity.

About theme interpretation,

Contestants were capable of exploring and understanding the deep meaning along with the main purpose of the movie，thus through that selected fragment，describing the key ideas of the movie to the judges and audience.

About love for family,

"Remember me before the memory of love

 disappears.

The family is more important than the dream. 

Life is hard， and I have my guitar. 。

You can not be forgiven， but it should not be forgotten. 

The real death is that no one in the world remembers you."

So, love your family, and love the ones who love you！

Six girls tried to imitate the pronunciation and intonation of the original sound.

About friendship ,

this team took friendship as their performmance, understood the purposes of the friendship ，that is

, trust, sharing, and support.

About our memory,

Your deep memory would have been open if you had listened to this one.

while waiting the results of the show ,Miss Du Zhuanhua together with her students gave us an excellent performmance with her clear voice,tones,and vivid body language.

Miss Ma Lin also imitated her idol to give us

an English speech named Never Give Up

Miss Yao Xiaoya announced the results of the show.

Mr.Cao Huibin made a brief conclusion .With the hope of encouraging more students to speak English ,practise English and find the charm of English， he belived that those who show their talent and interest in their study are the hope of Shang De High School.

About awards, we chose some English books as awards , wanting the winners to read more,listen more,and practise more.

Before the show ,teachers spared no effort to help the competitors correct their pronunciation and body language.

About gratitude, there are so many teachers ,like Mr.Zhao Wenbo,and Miss Deng Yuwen, devoting their time to this activity. Mr.ZhaoWenbo played the videos all the time and Miss Deng Yuwen helped hosts and hostess prepare the words of hosting.

Our judges watched the performances , thought the points of giving scores，and sat there without any moving.

　　After holding the showing, Our English group gained experience about English dubbing , such as clips of background music, the choice of materials, some key points of dubbing and preparation of the details. So there is a long way to walk.

To our much surprise, more and more boys showed their abilities in the activity and performed fantasticly .

Our group will build up more stages for students who are eager to show their confidence and love for English.
