<h3>原文:CORE ANNOUNCEMENT</h3><h3>Konecranes to discontinue manufacturing operations of its joint venture company Noell Crane Systems (China) Ltd. in Zhangzhou, China</h3><h3>Konecranes, a global leader in lifting business, announces today that it has decided to discontinue the manufacturing operations of the Noell Crane Systems (China) Limited it co-owns with China Merchants in Zhangzhou, China. The decision comes as a result of low production volumes and heavy investments required to upgrade the plant to meet Konecranes manufacturing standards. The site closure is expected to be effective by January 1, 2019.</h3><h3>The plant specializes in container handling cranes and related services for the port operators worldwide ano currently employs 350 people. The estimate is that the closure will result in a redundancy of 230 people mainly in manufacturing operations. Konecranes has agreed with approximately 100 key employees in global functions that they will transfer to work for Konecranes in the future.</h3><h3>Negotiations with employees on the impacts of the closure will be initiated today.
