摄影师王桂生，1968年在北京初中毕业后，赴陕西延安插队，是北京老三届知青。一去20年，种过地、当过工人、在专业文艺剧团拉过小提琴，后被提升到延安文化馆当馆长，从那时起爱上摄影。由于常在一些专业摄影报刊和杂志上发表作品，1983年申请并被批准加入中国摄影家协会。1988年返回北京，回城后为了维持生计与摄影暂时告别了一段时间，直到退休才又重新拿起相机进行摄影创作。2014年随着出家妻儿来到了湖北红安县天台寺，王桂生本人至今没出家做佛教居士，但这几年里，他静下心来认真思考记录着新时期佛教文化的发展，特别是记录三禅文化，并用镜头向外界传扬天台寺禅乐文化，他的摄影作品，成为独一无二的好题材。现在有不少摄影爱好者和著名摄影师看了王老师的摄影作品后，慕名而来湖北红安天台寺采风拍摄创作禅文化的题材。

湖北红安天台寺简介：天台寺坐落于鄂豫两省交界处的大别山深处，位处国家4A级旅游景区天台山风景区核心区，风光独好，美不胜收。历史上孕育了禅宗三祖、四祖、五祖、六祖使禅宗一脉弘扬天下，是名副其实的禅脉灵山。红安天台山是天台宗的发源地，1400多年前，智者大师在天台山以北的净居寺出家修行得道，唐武德四年建天台寺。明末清初毁于战火后经重建。在近代史记载，红安天台山一代走出了两任共和国主席，三大红军主力，两百多位将军而尽显风水之神奇。
