The Milky Way contains our Solar System. It is called "milky" because of the appearance from Earth. The galaxy is a band of light seen in the night sky formed by stars.

The Solar System is a gravitational bound that contains the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly.

Mercury is the smallest and closest to the sun. Its rotation around the Sun is 88 days and is the shortest of all the planets in the Solar System.

Venus is the second planet from the Sun, and orbits it every 224.7 Earth days. It rotates in the opposite direction to most other planets and has no natural satellites.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only planet in the Universe known to have life. It is believed that Earth was formed over 4 billion years ago.

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System . Mars is also known as the "Red planet" because of the iron rusting.

Jupiter is the fifth planet and is the largest in the Solar System. It is a giant planet with a mass one- thousandth that of the Sun. Jupiter has a storm called "the great red storm," that is about 2 to 3 times larger than earth.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest in the Solar System, after Jupiter. It is a gas giant with an average radius about nine times that of Earth. It's famous for its rings which are made mostly out of ice, rocks, dust, etc.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune, and both have different bulk chemical composition. Uranus, unlike the other planets, rotates about 90 degrees from its plane of orbit.

Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun. In the Solar System, it is the windiest, darkest, and coldest planet. This planet takes 165 Earth years to orbit our sun.
