阅读英文练习之四十五——《这个杀手不太冷》中的少女——娜塔莉·波特曼

　　如何挑选英文阅读练习的素材有很大的学问。每个人的英语水平不同，因此在素材的选择上也应当有所不同。

　　首先是题材的选择。国内图书馆或书店的书架上充斥着英文文学名著，其实它们作为普通英语爱好者的阅读素材是不合适的。文学作品是语言中的精华，其用词和普通生活有很大区别，因此我认为许多人在阅读素材的选择上走入了误区。

　　作为普通英语爱好者应当选择知识性的短文，这样即可以练习英文，又能够增长知识，学习就容易有兴趣。

　　其次难度选择也很重要。一段短文中如果完全没有生词，那就有点平淡无味，如果生词量过多也不合适，最好是有少量生词，但仍然能大致读懂意思的短文。也不用刻意去背生词，如果是常用的，读的多了自然会认识，如果不是常用的，一时背会了也容易忘记。

　　因此，花一点功夫仔细选择英文阅读素材是值得的。

　　Ms . Portman was born in lsrael in 1981.Her father was a doctor , and the family moved to the United States to embark on a new life there . In 1999, she entered Harvard University and decided to major in psychology .

　　Even after her huge success , Ms . Portman kept the name as a way to help her family steer clear of the media spotlight .

　　如果你看过电影《莱昂》，你一定会记得那个可爱的小女孩。那位女演员的名字叫娜塔莉·波特曼。

　　11岁时，她被露华浓化妆品公司的星探选中。这一好运使她在成功的电影《莱昂》中首次亮相。

　　波特曼太太1981年出生于以色列。她的父亲是一名医生，之后全家搬到美国开始新的生活。1999年，她进入哈佛大学，决定主修心理学。

　　她的一个有趣之处是她的姓。波特曼实际上不是她家的姓，而是她外祖母婚前的名字。波特曼太太用这个名字，是因为她不想让她的父母因她在《莱昂》中的表演失望。

　　即使在她取得巨大成功后，波特曼太太仍然保留了这个名字，以帮助她的家人避开媒体的聚光灯。
